It would be smart to be able to allow sharing based on a specific tag. Indicate in the roles that this tag is shared and authorized. while respecting the file structure.

A nice idea, but difficult in security-focussed company environments.
That could lead to dangerous leakages if not every user is completly aware of the consequences of each tag. Even marking them will still lead to confusion for non-tech-savy users.
It would probably be better to make a seperate "share groups" tag cloud that is independant from the regular one.

This could replace (or run side by side) the current security per folder. Setting up access by tag you can create a multidimensional access structure.
